Coach Ali
Saber Alaboody
Founder, AdvoRecruit · Founder, Be Like Wat3r Exposure LLC
Former Division I wide receiver and return specialist at Bowling Green State University. Dearborn, Michigan native. Fordson No. 27. Today he is a hands-on working coach who has run camps, combines and verified testing for hundreds of Michigan and Midwest athletes — and the human being on the other end of every AdvoRecruit review.

Why a former D1 receiver became the advocate.
Ali Saber Alaboody grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, inside a family with its own football tradition, and played his high school ball at Fordson wearing No. 27. Speed, discipline and a relentless work ethic were not motivational words in that house — they were the price of admission. He carried them into a Division I career at Bowling Green State University as a wide receiver and return specialist.
That means he did not learn recruiting from a webinar. He lived every part of it: the attention, the testing, the film, the phone calls that meant something and the ones that meant nothing, the eligibility paperwork, and the very specific stress of a family who has never done this before trying to figure out what is real. He also watched talented people around him lose opportunities over things that had nothing to do with how they played.
After his playing career he founded Be Like Wat3r Exposure LLC to give Michigan and Midwest student-athletes the opportunities he had to fight for. Years of camps, combines and verified testing events followed — real numbers recorded and certified so an athlete owns results they can send to college programs, position drills and one-on-ones in front of the people who actually make decisions, and an honest personal evaluation for every athlete: strengths, gaps and a roadmap for what comes next.
But the work kept going past the whistle. Coach Ali sits with athletes and parents on NCAA eligibility, core-course reality, film readiness, coach communication, NIL education and academic accountability — because getting recruited is about far more than talent. "Be Like Water" is the operating philosophy: strong standards, flexible delivery, meet the athlete where they are, regardless of geography or financial circumstance.
AdvoRecruit is the next chapter of that same promise. It puts the honesty in writing before a family spends money — recruiting intelligence, verification and one documented next move, then a human advocate who tells you the truth about where your athlete actually stands. Not hype. Not a ranking. A read you can act on.
“Hope shouldn't cost this much. Families deserve the real read before the real money — even when the real read is the one nobody wants to hear.”

AdvoRecruit asks families to demand proof before they spend. The same rule applies here — so here is the record, with the sources attached.
Fordson High School, Dearborn, Mich. Signed: Bowling Green. School list also included Michigan State, Minnesota, Cincinnati and Central Michigan.
Signed with Division I Bowling Green to play slot receiver and return kicks. His advice to younger players: "it all starts with academics… focus on your speed."

He earned it the hard way — on the field.
Running back, corner, kicker, punter and every special-teams unit at Fordson. Two-year captain, three years varsity football, four years varsity track. Numbers below are Coach Ali's own record from his playing days.
Ranked the No. 3 running back in Michigan that cycle, behind Edwin Baker. Three-star Rivals prospect.
Split carries with three other running backs and still averaged seven a pop. Added an interception at corner.
Not one receiver scored on him across two varsity seasons in coverage.
Two-year captain. Three years varsity football, four years varsity track. Running back, corner, kicker, punter and every special-teams unit — on the field the entire game.

- Scout.com camp — top-three finish
- Sound Mind Sound Body — top-three finish
- Scout.com / Michigan Varsity Grand Rapids combine — top-three finish
Three MVP honors, and a top-three finish at every single camp and combine he attended. He won the vertical jump and the broad jump every time — 38.6" vertical and an 11′ 6″ broad jump.
Track, classroom and community.
Coach Ali tells families academics come first because his own did. The core GPA is the number the NCAA actually reads — and most families never see it until it is too late.
Long before recruiting, Ali volunteered with Zaman International — feeding the needy, helping house the homeless and getting assistance to families who had nothing. He is proud of that work, and it is the reason AdvoRecruit still puts free help in front of paid help.
Nobody handed him a recruiting plan.
- 1First offer as a true sophomore
Bowling Green offered him on the spot at a one-day senior camp, before his junior season ever started.
- 2Then the MAC followed
Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Kent State, Ball State, Akron and Toledo all offered.
- 3Big Ten interest
Michigan, Michigan State and others came with preferred walk-on or partial offers — the exact spot where families get confused about what an "offer" really is.
- 4Why he signed BGSU
They told him he would be on special teams immediately. Playing time over the logo. He committed and signed his letter of intent.
- 5He did all of it alone
No advisor, no service, no paid middleman. He learned by trial which camps mattered, which people to talk to, what to ask, and how to get seen — travelling to Ohio and Illinois for 7-on-7 with Michigan Varsity and Scout.com along the way.
He learned the difference between a real offer and a nice phone call the expensive way — so you don't have to.
Full scholarship, partial, preferred walk-on and "we love your film" are four completely different things. Coach Ali sorted them out at seventeen with no help. That is exactly what AdvoRecruit hands your family in writing, before you spend a dollar.
Why AdvoRecruit exists.
Coach Ali built Be Like Wat3r Exposure from what he learned doing his own recruiting alone. Then he watched fake camps, self-serving recruiters and paid "agents" prey on families, waste coaches' time and gamble with kids' futures. AdvoRecruit exists because he would not sit and watch it happen.
The road, in order.
Raised in Dearborn and forged on Friday nights at Fordson, inside a family with its own football tradition. Speed, discipline and repetition were never optional — they were the standard at home.
Recruited to Bowling Green State University as a wide receiver and return specialist. He lived the full process — the recruiting attention, the testing, the film, the eligibility paperwork, the pressure on a family that had never done it before.
After his playing career, Ali founded Be Like Wat3r Exposure LLC to give Michigan and Midwest student-athletes the opportunities he had to fight for: camps, combines, verified testing, honest evaluations and purposeful exposure instead of hype.
AdvoRecruit is the next step: the same honesty, put in writing, before a family spends money. Recruiting intelligence first, then a human advocate who tells you the truth about where your athlete actually stands.
The work behind the title.

Years of running football camps, combines and certified testing events where numbers are recorded and can be shared with college programs — not guessed at.
Every athlete leaves with a personal evaluation: real strengths, real gaps, and a clear roadmap for what comes next. No inflated rankings.
NCAA eligibility, core-course reality, film readiness, coach communication and NIL education — taught in plain English so parents can make the call themselves.
Remote sessions that reach athletes anywhere, so geography and budget stop deciding who gets guidance.
Hundreds of Michigan and Midwest athletes have gone through BLWE events and evaluations to get real exposure in front of college coaches and scouts.
He coached and trained his brother Ahmed Alaboody into Combine King at Schuman’s National Underclassmen Combine, one of the most respected underclassmen combines in the country.
During his own playing years he coached and trained kids for free, covered their expenses out of pocket and helped them with schoolwork. That has not changed — it is why AdvoRecruit puts free intelligence in front of paid help.
Getting recruited is about more than talent. Classroom reliability, coach trust and family readiness are treated as part of the evaluation.

Full rooms, real names, every position and class.
Coach Ali runs recruiting and position sessions remotely so an athlete's zip code and a family's budget stop deciding who gets guidance. Same standard, delivered where the athlete already is.
The same standard on film.
